Dreams

(I know it was quick but something already came to me!)

People have so many cliches about life. They (yes the infamously anonymous they) are always saying things like "life is what you make it", "life is all about choices", "it's your life do what you wanna do". So why is it then that we are so quick to choose to make our lives miserable? Now naturally there are some things we cannot control in our own lives, things happen and I'm not denying that. I'm talking about the things that are completely in our power that we don't do for no real reason. Why do we give up on our goals and aspirations? For fear of not being good enough? Or is it that we just "don't have the time right now"? All around me I see people giving up on their dreams because they get so caught up in what the news says about the Dow Jones. SO WHAT! Who cares about the Dow freaking Jones??? I don't even watch the news anymore, if I want to feel depressed, I'll watch Titanic. The news is over rated. I haven't watched the news in over 2 years and I haven't been to the hospital for any kind of bacterial outbreak on vegetables or other produce products, gotten diagnosed with swine flu, been blown up by a terrorist or gotten raped in a park. I promise.

Yes times are hard, and no you may not have the time or energy or money or willpower or (insert excuse here) but forget that! Forget all of that. My new motto in life is "Just do it" and no I didn't steal it from Nike, and no I'm not talking about sex. I mean whatever it is that your being lazy about, and making excuses for not doing, just do it! If you want to write a book, do it! if you want to learn how to play the guitar, or apply for your dream job, learn how to paint, start your own business, travel the world, lose weight! JUST DO IT. We need to stop making excuses for ourselves, because the only reasons that we don't follow our dreams is because we're lazy, and we're afraid. So I just wanted to encourage you guys to never give up on your dreams. No matter what the economy looks like, no matter what is going on around you. None of it is an excuse. And if you can't jump right into whatever it is you want to do, then start making steps towards it. If you want a big wig job, start building your resume, if you want your own business, start talking to people who have already set up their own successful businesses. Volunteer in something related to your feild. Study people who know what they're doing, start saving up for a computer, start eating better, just do something! The easiest way to fail is to not even try.
